Vernon R. Floyd, 83, former lifelong Rock, Kan., resident, passed away Sunday morning, September 4, 2011, at Greenwood Hospital in Eureka.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery.
Memorials have been established in Vernon’s name with the Rock Christian Church and the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
