Leon James Sparks, 73, of Arkansas City, Kan., died Sunday, September 4, 2011, at the South Central Kansas Medical Center in Arkansas City.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home in Arkansas City. Pastor Gale Rider will officiate.
A memorial has been established with the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
