Fire crews quickly extinguished a small fire in a light fixture Friday at Ark City Middle School. Students were evacuated briefly.
Around 12:30 p.m., crews were called to the middle school in response to a fire report. A short time later the fire was out, though some smoke did remain.
Just before 1 p.m., the all clear was given and students were allowed to return to school. No injuries were reported.
