Five area women have been selected as finalists for this year’s Queen Alalah title.
Students, faculty and staff at Cowley College selected the finalists after four days of online voting. Finalists are: Devin Dice, Ark City; Jordan McDowell, Ark City; Samantha Nolting, Wichita; Rosemary Simmons, Ark City; and Karlye Sturd, Ark City.
The coronation of Queen Alalah LXXX will take place in the Robert Brown Theatre inside the Brown Center for Arts, Sciences and Technology on Cowley’s main campus.
Those attending the Queen’s Coronation will vote to determine the next Queen Alalah.
The Coronation is part of the annual fall Arkalalah celebration.
There were 326 votes cast to determine the five finalists.
