Wellington Police Reports for September 23 – 28, 2011
SEPTEMBER 23
Criminal damage to property was reported in the 200 block of North Washington.
Possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property and contributing to a child’s misconduct was investigated in the 400 block of East Maple.
A bicycle was found in the 400 block of North B.
Possession of drug paraphernalia was investigated in the 600 block of North Woodlawn.
A theft was reported in the 2000 block of East Seventh.
Levi Parker, Wellington, was arrested for aggravated battery, domestic violence, and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 500 block of East Botkin. Charles Whitaker, Wellington, was arrested for aggravated battery and domestic violence.
Possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, probation violation, consumption of alcohol by minors and failure to submit to a breath test was investigated in the 600 block of East Lincoln.
An injury accident involving vehicles operated by Jonathan Etter and Justin Bruns, both of Wellington, occurred in the 900 block of East Ninth.
Suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of West Harvey.
SEPTEMBER 24
Steve Anderson, Harper, was cited with going the wrong way around a traffic island in a construction zone.
Suspicious activity was reported in the 2000 block of West Madison.
Michael Bird, Peck, was cited with defective trailer tail lights.
SEPTEMBER 25
A non-injury accident involving vehicles operated by Emily Hemberger and Ralph Wacker, both of Wellington, occurred at B and Ninth. Hemberger was cited for no proof of insurance.
Christina Peralez, Wellington, was arrested for pedestrian under the influence in the 500 block of North Washington.
Criminal damage to property was investigated in the 300 block of East 11th.
SEPTEMBER 26
The theft of an air compressor was reported in the 200 block of West Fourth.
A child in need of care was reported in the 1100 block of West Harvey.
Burglary, theft and criminal damage to property was investigated in the 100 block of North Cherry.
Theft of services was reported in the 200 block of North Washington.
Disturbing the peace was reported in the 300 block of East 11th.
SEPTEMBER 27
Nicholas Weikal, Wellington, was cited with speeding in a school zone.
Chelsea Hemberger, Argonia, was cited for driving with a suspended license and defective brake lights in the 500 block of North G.
Lost property was reported in the 700 block of East Lincoln.
Heather Scott, Wellington, was arrested for unlawful abuse of toxic vapors in the 700 block of North Woodlawn.
Disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing was investigated in the 100 block of North Washington.
Robert Pierce, Perth, was arrested on five counts of failure to appear from various agencies in the 1100 block of West Eighth.
Nathan Holden, Argonia, was cited with speeding in a construction zone.
A report of making false information was investigated in the 1800 block of East 16th.
SEPTEMBER 28
Benjamin Atchley, Wellington, was arrested for driving under the influence, refusing a breath test and defective tag light in the 100 block of West Ninth.
Matthew Cox, Wellington, was arrested on a Sedgwick County bench warrant for seat belt violation, driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance.
Sydney Entzel, Belle Plaine, and Mary Jimanez, Wellington, were involved in a non-injury accident at Woodlawn and 16th. Entzel was cited with inattentive driving and no proof of insurance.
Monte Herrera and Devon Jordan, both of Enid, OK, were cited with transporting open containers.
Shellie Yura, Wellington, was arrested for driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, no proof of insurance and failure to report an accident in the 1400 block of North Stewart.
Criminal trespass and criminal damage to property was reported in the 1100 block of East Fourth.
Timothy Rose, Wellington, was arrested for aggravated battery in the 900 block of North Jefferson.
