Charles David Burns, 83, of River Ridge, La., died Monday night, October 3, 2011, at the Kansas Veterans’ Home in Winfield, Kan., of complications from Alzheimer’s.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. The family will greet visitors from 5 to 6 p.m.
Memorials have been established in Mr. Burns’ name for the Alzheimer’s Association and for the Kansas Veterans‘ Home. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
