Gary “Butch” Pickering, 68, of Winfield, Kan., formerly of Crown Point, Ind., died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 4, 2011.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Winfield on Friday at 11 a.m. Services are scheduled for 4 p.m. with visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date. (A second service will be held at Geisen Funeral Home in Crown Point on Sunday.)
