Neives Mexican Restaurant in Winfield has been honored as a top minority-owned business in the state of Kansas. The eatery is located at 119 E. Ninth.
The restaurant – owned and operated by Tudy McCreary – received the award at a luncheon Tuesday in Topeka hosted by the Kansas Dept. of Commerce. Each year, the state honors companies as part of Kansas Minority Enterprise Development Week.
Neives was named minority-owned business of the year in the retail division. Each year nominations are taken to develop a list of potential honorees.
