It is a preliminary pageant for the Miss Kansas Pageant held in June each year in Pratt, KS. After Miss Kansas is crowned, she will then compete in the Miss America Pageant.

Winfield native and Miss Kansas 2011 Carissa Kelley will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies. Damon Mendoza, of Arkansas City, will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Miss Walnut Valley 2011 Jade Sparks, of Arkansas City, will also be appearing.

Kelley and Sparks will each showcase the dances they performed during the talent phase at the Miss Kansas Pageant earlier this year.

The Miss Sunflower Princess participants will perform a dance routine they learned during their mentorship session. Vocal entertainment will also be provided by Miss Walnut Valley board member and former Miss Kansas contestant Emily Townsend.
