Cowley County Sheriff Report for November 7, 2011
An accidental 911 hangup call was checked in the two 2600 block of North 23rd, Ark City.
Nichola Oxford, Ark City, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.
Clifford Love, rural Winfield, was arrested on a warrant for cruelty to animals.
Don Parker, Ark City, was arrested on a theft warrant.
An abandoned vehicle on the side of the road was checked in the 15000 block of US 77.
Deputies were dispatched to the 9000 block of 292nd Rd. regarding damage to a barn caused by a neighbor’s lack of having a safe backstop when target shooting.
Deputies were dispatched to a burglary to an abandoned house in the 31000 block of 61st Rd. from which cabinets, counters, sinks and copper were stolen.
A call was received asking to check a suspicious vehicle setting on 39th Road south of US 166. A Kansas Highway Patrol trooper was in the area and checked, but was unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies conducted additional investigation regarding a call of juveniles recklessly riding on the top of a vehicle in the 29000 block of 41st Rd.
A missing person was reported in the 11000 block of Valley Road, Ark City area the missing person was subsequently located in Arkansas in good health.
