Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt will be in Winfield next month for a fundraiser and awareness dinner for Safe Homes.

The event is set for Dec. 8 at Baden Square in Winfield. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 if purchased before Dec.1 or a table of eight is $140. A small number of tickets will be available for $25 at the door. Call 620-221-7079 or email leeann@safehomesinc.org to reserve your tickets.

The event celebrates Safe Homes’ 25th anniversary of providing services to victims of domestic and sexual violence.

"We are very pleased to have Attorney General Schmidt visit our community, and meet the people and organizations that support Safe Homes," says Safe Homes’ Director of Operations and Finance, LeeAnn Riediger. "We also recognize that the Attorney General’s Office is very supportive of Safe Homes, and, through grant programs, contributes significantly to services for victims in the area."

Items will be available during both a live and silent auction. Many organizations and businesses have donated to the event including an autographed Bill Self basketball, autographed Bill Snyder football, Lake Tenkiller vacation, Royals tickets, Acorn Resort package, framed art by Ron Shufflebarger, and many more items from local merchants.
