Gold and silver exchange opened in Ark City

A new gold and silver store opened in downtown Ark City last week.

Kansas Gold and Silver Exchange, 218 S. Summit, is owned and operated by Cori Deill and James and Beni Porter. The Porters work in Boise, Idaho at a similar store named Security Gold and Silver.

The Idaho location has been open for more than 35 years and specializes in the area of gold and silver bullion. Deill lives in Ark City and will oversee operation of the new store.

The new location has a growing selection of estate jewelry and some consignment pieces. Kansas Gold and Silver Exchange also buys gold and silver jewelry and coins.

Deill has been active in the community, her local church and her child’s school. She is excited to fill an empty space downtown and offer a needed service.

“We strive to provide the best customer service and prices possible,” Deill said.
