Cowley County Sheriff’s Report for November 22, 2011
An illegal dumping complaint was received in the 7000 block of 248th Rd.
Gina Torres, Ark City, was arrested on a probation violation warrant.
Several large round bales of hay were stolen.
A non-injury accident occurred involving a car striking a dog running across the road in the 9500 block of 292nd Rd.
The theft of a camo colored 2005 Arctic Cat 250 four-wheel ATV as reported in the 8000 block of 212th Rd.
Ark City Police officers were assisted by deputies with a disturbance at 3413 N. summit, Ark City. Ryan Schaffer, Powderville, MT, was arrested at the scene for disorderly conduct.
A possible meth lab dumpsite was checked in the 5000 block of 286th Rd. It was determined not to be a lab site.
A miscellaneous dog complaint was received in the 7000 block of 172nd Rd.
Three goats were in a yard in the 21000 block of 85th Rd.
A vehicle with its emergency flashers on was checked in the 1000 block of US 160.
A report was taken of a mailbox that had been damaged in the 5000 block of 312th Rd. A possible suspect vehicle was reported seen in the area.
A report of strong gas or propane order was reported in the 4000 block of 262nd Rd. Nothing was found.
The report of an open door was reported at a Strother Field business. The business was checked with the assistance of a business official and everything appeared to be okay.
The report of a vehicle alarm sounding was received in the 2800 block of West Ninth.
