Sylvester J. “Ves” Koehler, age 88, a Wellington, Kan., resident for over 50 years, and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away Thursday morning, December 8, 2011, at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home until 5 p.m. today and on Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. A rosary will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Anthony/St. Rose Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Anthony/St. Rose Catholic Church in Wellington on Monday at 10 a.m. Father Lawrence Carney will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
The family invites everyone to attend a reception following the Rosary Sunday afternoon at St. Anthony’s School Hall.
