Ark City man, 20, is held on 47 counts of theft

An Ark City man has been arrested and remains in jail as a result of an investigation into multiple instances of theft at a local business.

Justin Clay Osborne, 20, was taken into custody by Ark City police on Feb. 8 and booked into the Cowley County Jail on 47 counts of theft. His bond has been set at $47,000 and he was still incarcerated as of Tuesday morning, according to jail records.

The arrest was made after an investigation into fraudulent returns made at the O’Reilly Auto Parts on N. Summit in Ark City. Osborne had been an employee there, according to chief of police Sean Wallace.
