Ark City woman, 60, nabbed on drug charges

An Ark City woman was arrested late Friday after local authorities searched a home for drugs.

Jessie Ann Zavala, 60, was arrested for possession of pot, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked into the Cowley County Jail early Saturday morning and later released on $7,000 bond.

The arrest followed the search of a residence in the 300 block of E. Birch Ave. A search warrant was issued following a month-long investigation of the residence by Ark City’s street-level drug interdiction team, officials with that department said.
