Cowley County Sheriff’s Report for February 29, 2012

Cattle were out in the 23000 block of US 160, east of Burden.

A residential alarm was checked in the 19000 block of 71st Rd.

A residential alarm was checked on River Creek Road, west of Rock.

Two prisoners were transported to the Cowley County jail for the Ark City Police Department.

Theft of prescription medications was reported from a resident in the 1400 block of North 23rd, Ark City.

The theft of a handicap placard from a car that had been parked in the 400 block of West Bryant, Ark City, was reported.

An alarm at a construction site was checked in the 5500 block of 242nd Rd.

A welfare check of a child was requested in Udall.

Deputies were dispatched to the Winfield hospital for a dog bite that had occurred on T P Hales Road.

Car/deer accidents occurred in the 31000 block of US 77, the 5000 block of US 160, and the 25000 block of K-15.

The K-9 deputy and his dog were requested by Ark City Police Department officers to assist with a search warrant being executed in the 800 block of North Fourth.

Winfield Police officers were assisted by deputies in attempting to locate a suspect involved in a disturbance in the 600 block of East Seventh.
