Cowley County Sheriff’s Report for March 20, 2012

Winfield Police officers and deputies escorted a funeral procession from Miles Funeral Service to Highland Cemetery.

CCL Homes personnel requested a deputy visit with a resident about the potential consequences of not telling the truth and falsely reporting things that did not happen.

A possible disturbance was checked in the parking lot south of the court house.

Stolen blank checks belonging to a county resident had been recovered in a drop box at the Ark City city building.

A funeral procession was escorted from Miles Funeral Service to the Highland Cemetery.

Cattle were out in the 4000 block of K-15.

Theft of a roll of barbed wire and a trespassing complaint was reported in the 17000 block of 202nd Rd.

A child custody issue was checked in the 2000 block of 31st Rd.

A citizen reported a vehicle, with its emergency flashers on, in the ditch about two miles north of Udall on K-15. No vehicle was found.

A vehicle, trying to turn around, was stuck in a ditch in the 6000 block of 142nd Rd. A tow truck was called to get it out.

A suspicious vehicle and activity was reported in the 17000 block of 212th Rd. The vehicle was located and the issue successfully checked and resolved.

Several catalytic converters were reported stolen from the outside of a residence in the 11000 block of 171st Rd.
