Debbie Johnson, of Kechi, will be the featured presenter at the May meetings of the Walnut Valley Quilters Guild.
Johnson lecture and present a trunk show at meetings set for 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 2448 Edgemont, in Ark City. Anyone who wishes to attend is welcomed.
Johnson has sewn since childhood but only took up quilting around 1998. She is founder of In The Doghouse Designs, a company which designs and distributes quilt patterns.
Her work is to be featured on the May/June cover of Quiltmaker magazine and she has a block that is included in the Quiltmaker 100 blocks, Volume 5, which comes out in May.
