An Ark City man fled from authorities on foot and tossed away baggies – said to have contained pot and crack cocaine – during a brief incident late Tuesday, according to a report from the Cowley County Sheriff.
After a short foot chase, Anthony W. Muldrow, 33, was arrested and taken into custody for possession of drugs, no tax stamp, possession of drug-sale proceeds and obstruction. He also was in violation of his probation.
Bond was set at $11,000 and Muldrow remained in jail Wednesday, according to jail records.
Around 8:50 p.m., Muldrow was spotted in the 1600 block of N. Summit. Deputies knew the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant and attempted to approach him.
He fled on foot but was quickly apprehended by deputies and Ark City officers.
