Wellington Police Reports for May 25 – 28, 2012
MAY 25
A child in need of care was reported in the 300 block of South Jefferson.
A theft was reported in the 1000 block of South C.
Barbara Reiser, Wellington, was cited with a defective brake light.
A non-injury accident occurred in the 100 block of East Ninth involving a vehicle operated by Adda Metzen, Wellington, and a rail owned by Immanuel Baptist Church.
A non-injury accident occurred in the 1500 block of North A involving a vehicle operated by Russell Day, Wellington, and a parked and unoccupied vehicle owned by Lafayette Steel Erectors, Wellington.
Chico Wilson, Haworth, OK, was arrested on a Wellington failure to appear warrant.
A non-injury accident occurred in the 1200 block of West Eighth involving a vehicle operated by Janet Depenbusch, Nashville,KS, and a parked and occupied vehicle owned by Gloria Ford, South Haven.
Criminal damage to property was reported in the 100 block of South H.
Following are seat belt violations in Wellington: Amber Hull, Oxford; Gary Nicolet, Shawnee; Donel Gaddie Jr, Joshua Welborn, Roxy Janney, Jessica Mayo, Joseph Patterson, Gary Fair, and Megan Roberson, all of Wellington.
Battery, theft and criminal damage to property was reported in the 700 block of East Botkin.
Daniel Hoag, Wellington, was cited with seat belt violation as a passenger.
April Grizzle, Wellington, was cited for dog at large.
MAY 26
Travis Clark, Wellington, was arrested on a Harper County failure to appear warrant.
Property was found in the area of Seventh and Washington.
A theft was reported in the 2000 block of East 16th.
Criminal damage to property and theft was reported at the Wellington Lake.
Suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of W. 50th St., South.
Criminal trespass was investigated in the 700 block of North Washington.
Joewand Thurmond, Wellington, was arrested for domestic violence battery in the 1900 block of North Madison.
MAY 27
A battery was reported in the 400 block of East Harvey.
Suspicious activity was reported in the 1100 block of North A and the 800 block of West Eighth.
MAY 28
A theft was reported in the 400 block of South C.
Ashley Haines, Wellington, was served a summons/complaint to appear on charges of furnishing alcohol to a minor.
A violation of protective order was reported in the 300 block of South F.
Suspicious activity was reported in the 200 block of East Lincoln.
A theft was reported in the 500 block of Southeast Lake view Road.
On May 20th officers investigated a theft in the 2000 block of East 16th.
