Cowley County Sheriff’s Report for June 6, 2012

A prisoner was transported to the Cowley County jail for the Ark City Police Department.

With the assistance of Ark City Police officers in Ark City and Winfield Police officers in Winfield, deputies escorted a large experimental aircraft being transported by truck through Cowley County. The escort began at the Oklahoma state line on US 77 and continued to the Butler County line on US 77 where Butler County deputies assumed the escort and continued it through Butler County.

A homeowner discovered a number of real estate signs dumped in his yard in the 4000 block of Meadowbrook Lane. The signs were returned to their respective owners.

A civil domestic property dispute was reported in Silverdale.

Deputies discovered and removed blown tire debris from the road in the 18000 block of US 166.

Ark City Police officers and deputies were dispatched to check for a possible drunk driver reported driving north from Chestnut on the US 77 Bypass. The vehicle was not located.

Chantill Lee Horsfall, Ark City, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

A car/deer accident occurred in the 6000 block of US 160.

Amy Jo Eaton, Ark City, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

A one vehicle non-injury accident occurred that was caused by the driver swerving to miss a deer in the road in the 21000 block of US 160.

Suspicious noises were reported heard near a residence in the 1500 block of 61st Rd.

Deputies checked a report of someone spotlighting in the 17000 block of 172nd Rd.
