Cowley County Sheriff’s Report for June 7, 2012

A civil domestic and property dispute was reported in Silverdale.

A juvenile observed walking northbound out of Winfield on North College was reported. It was determined the juvenile had already been checked by a Winfield Police officer and she was just walking to the house of a friend.

A theft was reported in the 7000 block of 316th Ln. Taken were: a yellow Craftsmen toolbox and miscellaneous hand tools. A detailed inventory of the tool stolen is still being compiled.

A motorist with a disabled vehicle was assisted in the 19000 block of US 77.

Deputies were dispatched to the 4000 block of 252nd Rd. to talk with the resident regarding suspicious calls and contacts received.

A deputy was called to the Sheriff’s Office to talk with a county resident regarding concerns about the welfare and safety of a family member involved in an abusive relationship.

Ark City Emergency Medical Services and deputies responded to a medical call in the 4000 block of 252nd Rd.

Possible illegal dumping was reported in the Kaw Wildlife area behind the old Total Refinery.

A two vehicle minor injury accident occurred at the intersection of 11th Rd. and 22nd Rd. Udall Fire and First Responders and Winfield Emergency Medical Services also responded, but no patients were transported.

A large amount of blown tire debris was removed from the road in the 10100 block of US 166.

A miscellaneous dog complaint was received in the 29000 block of 99th Ln.

Three prisoners were transported to the Cowley County jail for the Ark City Police Department.

Deputies were dispatched to the 24000 block of 61st Rd. regarding a concern about unsafe target shooting in the area.

A hitchhiker was transported from the Winfield Police Department to Cedar Vale.

Juveniles riding ATVs on the road was reported in the 33600 block of Tower Road.

Deputies and Kansas Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to check a reckless driver in the 2 to 200 block of US 77. The vehicle was located and the driver checked by a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper.

A residential alarm was checked in the 2600 block of 281st Rd.

Deputies assisted a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper with a driving under the influence investigation in the 14200 block of US 77.
