JUNE 13

A cow was out 1 mile east of Cambridge on US 160.

A lost license tag was reported from a resident in the 5000 block of 132nd Rd.

A blasting cap was found in a driveway in the 31000 block of 131st Dr. It was determined to be a detonated cap that had probably been mixed in a load of rock that had been spread on the driveway.

A trailer with a flat tire was parked in the 20100 block of US 166. While deputies were there, the owner arrived, change the tire and continued on his way.

A cow was out in the 27000 block of US 166.

A lost or stolen vehicle handicap placard was reported from a Winfield resident.

Cattle were out on the road in the 12000 block of 141st Rd.

A two vehicle minor injury accident occurred in the 32000 block of 61st Rd.

A cow was out on the road in the 10000 block of 132nd Rd.

William Robert Stone, Geuda Springs, was returned from Larned State Hospital and booked into the county jail on a warrant charging kidnapping, rape and aggravated robbery.

A 911 hangup call was checked in the 31000 block of 55th Ln.

A prisoner was transported to the Cowley County jail for the Ark City Police Department.

John D Seitz, Ark City, was arrested on a warrant for violation of a protective order.

The theft of catalytic converters from two vehicles was reported in the 16900 block of US 160.

Deputies were dispatched to the 286th Rd., just west of the West Chestnut Ridge, Ark City, on a report that someone had heard dogs barking and chickens cackling in the area.

A car/deer accident occurred in the 3000 block of K-15.

Deputies were dispatched to a prowler call in the 5000 block of 274th Rd. Later, deputies were dispatched back to the same address on a report that someone was knocking on residents windows. No one was found on either call.

A prowler and damage to a mailbox was reported in Udall.

JUNE 14

The theft of a red Lincoln brand 220 W arc welder and a 2001 Kawasaki Priaire 650 model four-wheel ATV was reported in the 17000 block of 192nd Rd.

Deputies responded to the vicinity of the Cowley/Sumner County line on US 162 man a row block relating to the robbery of the Emerald Bank in Oxford and to Oxford to assist Oxford Police officers and Sumner County deputies with the investigation of that robbery.

Billy Don Henson, Ark City, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

A dog chasing and injuring a horse was reported in the 1300 block of 42nd Rd.

The welfare of goats was checked in the 6000 block of Wright Avenue.

A disabled motorist was checked in the 15000 block of 21st Rd.

An open door in a vacant residence was checked in the 6000 block of 59th Dr. The residence was checked and secured, and the door was believed to have been blown open by the wind.

A reckless driver was reported in the 9000 block of 111th Rd.

Deputies were called to the Cowley County jail to take a report of battery on a correctional deputy by an inmate.

Ark City Police officers were assisted by deputies with investigating a fight at the Garden Walk Apartments on West Skyline.
