Cowley County Sheriff’s Reports for June 15 – 16, 2012

JUNE 15

Indecent liberties with a child was reported in the rural Ark City area.

A lost or stolen license tag was reported from a Winfield church van.

A dog bite was reported in the 30000 block of 39th Rd.

Debris was in the road in the 20000 block of 71st Rd.

A wallet was reported stolen from a residence in the 700 block of Lord Rd.

A tree limb was reported in the road in the 9000 block of 292nd Rd.

Deputies responded to the Sheriff’s Office to take a stalking/harassment report that had occurred in the county.

Ark City Emergency Medical Services and deputies responded to medical calls in the 32000 block of 91st Rd. and the 5000 block of 302nd Rd.

The theft of prescription medicine and two fishing poles was reported in the 28000 block of 41st Rd.

Criminal damage to property was reported in the 3000 block of 121st Rd.

JUNE 16

Gunshots were reported heard in the area of the West Chestnum bridge on the Arkansas River. Nothing was found and no further shots were heard.

A Udall Police officer was assisted by deputies with a traffic stop that involved multiple people.

A suspected drunk driver was stopped in the 14000 block of 21st Rd. The 19-year-old female driver had been drinking but, after testing, was found not to be legally intoxicated. She was cited for minor in consumption and friends were called to take her and her car home.

A natural gas leak was reported in the 19000 block of 101st Rd.

Deputies assisted in the search for two Winfield Correctional Facility inmates reported missing from the facility.
