Blue-Green algae concerns at Winfield City Lake have subsided and normal lake activities can resume following testing of lake waters this week.
The Kansas Dept. of Health and Environment Thursday lifted an advisory for the lake that had been in place since last month. Samples were taken Monday and testing concluded that the presence of blue-green algae was very low and below any action levels.
City officials said the advisory was lifted effective immediately and that no further testing of the lake has been scheduled by the state.
