Burglary in AC leads to multiple arrests Sun.

Several arrests have been made following an investigation that started when Ark City police discovered a damaged window, and other evidence of a burglary at a local business early Sunday.

Around 5:30 a.m., officers discovered a broken window at Rakie’s Oil at 302 N. Summit. The suspects entered the business through the window and removed some items, police said.

While that investigation was ongoing, police received a call from a citizen who had returned to his home in the 400 block of E. Fifth to find a person inside who did not have permission to be there.

The suspect, a juvenile who was not publicly identified by name, was taken into custody. Investigators then found evidence linking the incident to the Rakie’s burglary.

Police questioned the suspect and through that interview, other suspects were identified and taken into custody. In addition to the Rakie’s incident, police made arrests regarding a theft from Wal-Mart and an incident where an adult in the case is said to have provided muscle relaxers to juveniles.
