Arkansas City residents east of the Walnut River can expect reductions in water pressure for at least the next few days due to water system maintenance.
The water pressure reduction is due to needed maintenance to the East Chestnut Booster Station, which pumps water across the East Chestnut Avenue bridge to customers in the eastern part of town.
Lower pressures could continue through this week. Further updates will be provided as necessary.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary maintenance might cause,” said Public Works Director Eric Broce.
