Opening day for the new McDonald’s in Ark City has been delayed just a bit as construction crews continue working to get the new store ready.
Officials with Lane Enterprises, which owns the McDonald’s franchise in Ark City, now say the fast food restaurant at Radio Lane and Summit will open next Thursday. Originally the reopening had been planned for Tuesday.
The old building was closed in the spring and razed, so that a new McDonald’s could be constructed. A week of activities and food specials is planned in conjunction with the reopening.
The company still plans a giveaway for the first 100 customers through the drive-thru and the first 100 to dine in. Those 200 people will get a punch card good for one extra value meal per week for one year.
The cards can only be used at the Ark City location.
KSOK Radio will be broadcast its morning show live from McDonald’s Aug. 7. Ronald McDonald will make an appearance from 1-3 p.m. on Aug. 5.
