Benefit Dinner, Dance Planned For AC Couple Injured in Arkansas Cycle Accident

A benefit dinner and dance is being planned for an Ark City couple injured earlier this month in a motorcycle accident in Arkansas.

The event is set for Jan. 27 from 5 p.m. to midnight at the Chestnut Ave. Venue, 3120 E. Chestnut. A fundraiser dinner will be followed by live and silent auctions and a dance featuring live music by Backrhodes.

Bobbie and Anna Eastman were critically injured in the crash Nov. 5 that occurred as they returned home with friends from a weekend trip to Eureka Springs. The couple is continuing to recover.

Bobbie is a longtime resident of Arkansas City, where he works for Collision 2 Custom as a body repairman. Anna is a LPN at South Central Kansas Clinic and a longtime Arkansas City resident as well.

They are avid riders, giving their time as American Legion Riders, and to many poker runs and benefits.

Organizers are asking local businesses to donate items for the auction. All funds raised from the auction will be used towards any expenses resulting from the accident.

Monetary donations can be made directly to the “Bobbie and Anna Eastman Benefit Fund” at Ark Valley Credit Union.

Any items you wish to donate for the auction can be dropped off at 1025 The River – 106 N. Summit in Arkansas City or you may contact Kelly Dillner at 1025 The River or call her at (620)741-1963.

Any donations are appreciated.
