Road Rage Report Leads To Arrest Of Semi Driver On Thanksgiving

A Scott City semi-truck driver was arrested on Thanksgiving Day after being reported for a road rage incident near Burden.

Around 9 p.m., a Cowley County deputy responded to the report of a semi following a vehicle too closely. The truck was stopped and a search was conducted.

Drugs and drug paraphernalia were located, according to a report from the Cowley County Sheriff’s Dept. 42-year-old William Maclean was arrested and taken to jail.

Maclean posted a $6,000 bond and was released on Friday.

Maclean had been accused of a pointing a gun at someone during the initial road rage incident, however, authorities did not locate any firearms during their search.
