Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy was contacted in reference to checking the welfare of an individual walking in the 14000 block of US 77. Sheriff’s Deputy checked the area and did not located the individual.

Disturbance in the 1000 block of Running Horse Lane. Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to meet with someone inside the residence, but no one answered the door.
Arrested for driving while under the influence was Walter Williams Jr in the 300 block of Main Street in Winfield. Williams was transported to the Cowley County Jail.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputies checked on a vehicle in the 16000 block of 21st Rd.
Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy transported an inmate from the jail to the hospital. Update on the accident in the 7000 block of 5th Road, at Strother Field, on January 15th. A red 2016, Dodge truck, driven by 39 year old Matthew Hopper was traveling east on 5th Street when he struck multiple parked cars and came to rest on a creek embankment. He was transported to William Newton Hospital by ambulance.
