Wauneta L. Townsend, 82, a longtime Wellington, Kan., resident, died Friday, January 19, 2018, at Wellington Health and Rehab.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2018 with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services for Wauneta will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in the First Christian Church, Wellington, Kansas. Interment will follow at the Osborne Cemetery in Mayfield, Kansas.
A memorial fund has been established in her loving memory to the Wellington Humane Society. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home. Arrangements are by Cornejo|Day Funeral Home & Crematory, Wellington, Kansas.
