Two Arrested After Heated Discussion Escalates Late Saturday

Two people were arrested late Saturday following an altercation that occurred in rural Cowley County.

Around 10 p.m., sheriff deputies were called to the 5000 block of 286th Rd. for a report that someone had been shot. Authorities arrived to find that no one had been shot.

Upon further investigation, however, 32-year-old Jeremy Bell, of Geuda Springs, and 51-year-old Johnny Jackson, of Udall, were arrested and booked into jail.

During a heated discussion between the two men, Bell is accused of a firing a gun into the air and Jackson is accused of trying to run over Bell with a vehicle.

Jail records indicate Bell was still in jail this morning. Jackson was not listed in the inmate roster.

No injuries were reported.
