85th rd- Suspicious male sitting by the road. Person was walking to Winfield and stopped to rest.

286th rd- Caller had questions in ref items purchased online.

82nd rd- Deputy stopped to check a vehicle in the driveway, unattended and the door was standing open. All was ok, the resident was taking groceries inside.

16000 U77- Report of a person walking on the HWY. Deputy Checked the area and no one found.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 10000 block of US 77 HWY for a car vs deer accident. No injuries were reported.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a car in the 23000 block of 85th Rd. Driver, Michelle Phouthavong, was arrested for driving under the influence, driving while suspended, operating vehicle without ignition interlock device and transporting an open container.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy assisted Winfield Fire with grass fire in the 15000 block of 111th Rd. RP stated a couple juveniles were setting off fireworks which they believe started the fire but no one was located.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 3000 block of US 77 HWY for an aggravated assault report. The reporting party stated after some road rage, the suspect vehicle in a light blue or silver Ford Escape stopped in the highway and approached their car with a knife making threats. The caller did not wish to make a report on the matter and the suspect vehicle was gone when deputies arrived.

February 3

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy checked on vehicle in the 11000 block of 21st Rd.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy checked on a vehicle in the 2000 block of 122nd Rd.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 3000 block of 202nd Rd for a report of a brown truck being in the ditch and people trying to get it out. Unable to locate anything at the time, deputies were called there later in the day to work an accident where a truck went in the creek.

4000 E 9th- Report of an injured deer by the road.

4000 U160- Reckless driver complaint. Vehicle not located

3000 202nd rd- Report of a truck in the creek and no one around. No damaged noted to the truck. Owner arrived and it was towed out.

19000 U77- Report of a car hood in the roadway. Deputy removed it.

17000 61st rd- Caller reported he may have been scammed. Deputy did some checking and found the call was legitimate. No scam

26000 61st- Civil Issue. Caller requested a stand by from a Deputy. Caller was advised a Deputy would not be assisting.

6000 Shamrock Ct- Caller reported four loud explosions. Deputy checked the area and found some residents had shot some Tanerite

33000 61st rd- Possible disturbance reported by a 3rd party. Deputies arrived and found all was ok and one subject had left prior to arrival.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 9000 block of 272nd Rd for a report of someone dumping beef bones in the road.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to Urgent Care in Winfield to take a dog bite report that occurred in the 28000 block of 91st Rd.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy assisted Udall PD with disturbance in the 300 block of E 1st in Udall.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 32000 block of 111th for a report of 3 to 4 four-wheelers in the area driving recklessly up and down the road.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy removed a double recliner from the inside of the curve at K15 and US 77 HWY.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the jail visitation area to arrest Angela Parks on a warrant.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Casey Lawson on a warrant in the 20000 block of 81st Rd.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Jonathan Martinez on a warrant in the 1300 block of N. B St. in Arkansas City.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 14000 block of US 77 HWY to check on a pedestrian. Unable to locate anyone.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 26000 block of US 77 HWY to check on a stranded motorist. Bruton’s auto salvage was called to assist them.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 5000 block of 286th Rd for a report of someone being shot and almost ran over by a car. Nobody was shot in the incident but Jeremy Bell and Johnny Jackson were both arrested for aggravated assault.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 2000 block of E. Birch for a report of juveniles ringing doorbell and running again. No one was found in the area.

31000 61st rd- Report of a dog tied up outside with no shelter. Dpeuty check and found the dog had access to shelter.

2000 Country Club rd- Burglary Alarm- Deputied checked the area and all was okay and secure.

February 4

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 1000 block of K15 HWY for a report of a reckless driver. The vehicle was not located.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy paged to call subject reference child custody issues.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the jail to take a battery report from an inmate. Austin Brownell was charged with battery.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy checked on a vehicle in the 21000 block of US 160 HWY.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 2000 block of US 77 HWY for a report of a black Ford F-150 driving erratic. They were not located.
