Cowley County Sheriff’s Record for February 27-28, 2018

Deputies were dispatched to the 3,000 block of 32nd Rd. to look for a possible trespasser. They were last seen driving north of 32nd Road. The caller was unable to get a vehicle description. Deputies checked the area and there were no vehicles in the area.

Deputy checked on a vehicle parked on the shoulder in the 22,000 block of US 77 Highway. Vehicle was secure and off the road with a tire off the rim.

Deputy spoke with an individual about a possibly identity theft.

Deputy checked on a vehicle on the side of the road in the 15,000 block of US 77 Highway. The car was not in traffic and was left secured.

Rosemelin Jennifer Rodriquez of Winfield was arrested and booked into the Cowley County Jail for Driving While Suspended.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a vehicle with an expired tag and no proof of insurance in the 100 block of E. 13th Winfield. The vehicle was towed by B & L Truck and Auto.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to Geuda Springs for a two vehicle non-injury accident that happened on 1st Rd.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 27000 block of 41st Rd. for a report of two vehicles being on private property. Contact was made with two subjects from Cowley College. The owner did not wish to pursue trespassing charges but wanted them to be aware.

February 28

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy checked a residence in the 31000 block of 53rd Rd. The owner was unable to be located and several subjects were asked to leave.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy was flagged down by a citizen in the 500 block of Oak in Burden to ask some questions about a civil matter.
