Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 3000 block of 61st Rd. for a report of someone stealing gravel from the road with a skid steer. Township notified of the theft and is waiting to determine if charges will be filed.
Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 28000 block of US 77 HWY BYPASS in Arkansas City for a report of a driver failing to maintain its lane. The reported vehicle was a red farm truck. The vehicle was stopped in the 1600 block of N. Summit St. Cole Engelking of Newkirk was arrested and taken to jail for driving under the influence and endangering a child. He was also cited for no child safety restraint.
