UPDATE: 12:40 p.m. – Escaped inmate has been taken into custody. Robert G. Terrell was located in the Silverdale area of rural Ark City.

Authorities are currently searching for a parole violator who escaped from the Winfield Correctional Facility, on North College, Saturday night.
36-year-old Robert G. Terrell was declared escaped around 9:10 p.m. Just before that, it was reported to staff that Mr. Terrell jumped a fence on the west side of the correctional facility property and fled.
He is described as a 36 year old white male with red hair, 5’5″, 154 lbs., with an unknown clothing description. If you see Mr. Terrell, do not approach him and call 911 immediately, officials said.
Terrell has a 2002 rape conviction for sexual intercourse involving a child less than 14. He also has a conviction for failure to register as a sex offender.
A search for Terrell is currently underway and aircraft has been requested in support of that effort.
