Long-Time KSOK Radio Personality Marty Mutti, 53, Has Died

Cowley County Broadcasting and KSOK Radio are sad to announce the passing of long-time radio DJ and station co-owner Marty Mutti. He was 53.

Marty had a medical emergency at his Ark City home early Saturday morning and emergency personnel were called. They arrived, but despite their best efforts, Marty could not be revived.

His parents, Fritz and Etta Mae, are thankful for the considerable efforts of police, fire-EMS and hospital staff.

“Our condolences are with Marty’s family at this terrible time,” Shane Farley, KSOK morning show co-host and the station’s director of operations, said. “Certainly many people knew and loved Marty. His death leaves a void at KSOK that will never fully be filled.”

The family plans to hold a public celebration of Marty’s life, soon. Those details will be announced at a later date.
