Beginning Monday, the southbound lane of Park Street – south of Fourth Avenue to the emergency room entrance at William Newton Hospital in Winfield – will be closed due to a hospital construction project.
Only the southbound lane of Park will be affected and it will remain closed until the spring of 2019.
Conco Construction of Wichita is the prime contractor for the project, which is an expansion of the hospital’s surgical department.
The City of Winfield urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs when driving in and around the work zone. Anyone with questions about this work can call the Dept. of Public Improvements for the City of Winfield at (620) 221-5520.
