An accident near Strother Field briefly delayed traffic on U.S. 77 Tuesday morning.
A white 2000 tanker truck, driven by 37 year-old Cherryvale resident Brent Williams was stopped in the 22000 block of US 77 at the railroad crossing. Williams’s truck was struck from behind by a red 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by 19 year-old Jacob Archer of Winfield.
Archer was cited for following too closely. Archer was attended to by EMS and injuries were determined not to be serious or life-threatening.
The roadway was closed for time so that the accident could be cleaned up.
