A Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested three people Tuesday in the parking lot at Casey’s General Store in Winfield for drug offenses.
The deputy checked on a vehicle and occupants at 219 W. 9th Ave. at 2:39 a.m. after smelling a strong odor of marijuana. Keith Montgomery, Tekeisha Skwiat and Amber West were taken into custody.
Montgomery was arrested for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and transporting an open container, while Skwiat was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, prescription-only drugs with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and also trafficking contraband into the jail.
West was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, prescription-only drugs with intent to sell, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
