Two Winfield Girls Hurt In Accident Near Winfield Sunday Afternoon

Two Winfield teens were injured Sunday afternoon in a single-vehicle rollover accident that occurred as a result of slick conditions, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

16-year-old Kirstee Stiner was the driver of a 2005 Mazda 6 that was northbound on 111th Rd. around 1 p.m. Stiner lost control of the vehicle and rolled into a field on the west side of the roadway.

Stiner and a passenger, 16-year-old Ciara Adams, were hurt in the accident. They were taken to William Newton Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life threatening.

Both were wearing their seat belts.

The accident occurred northeast of Winfield on 111th Road just south of 102nd Rd.
