At approximately 3:30 PM a Wichita transit bus, driven by Steven Doze, of derby, was north bound on us 77 hwy in the 22000 block with 31 passengers (Creekstone employees). It stopped in the outside lane at the railroad tracks. A black 1999, Honda accord was driven by Joshua Waldorf, of Arkansas City. The Honda collided with the rear of the bus. Joshua was pinned in the vehicle. He was extricated by wfd/acfd. The hwy was closed briefly and Eagle med landed on the north bound lanes of the highway. Joshua was transported to Wesley Hospital with serious injuries. No passengers of the bus reported any injuries. A second transit bus later arrived to transport the passengers. The damaged bus was later removed by B&L and the Honda was removed by Bruton’s. The hwy was opened back up.

Heather Nugen was stopped for a traffic infraction in the 19000 block of 71st RD. She was found to be Driving While Suspended and was placed under arrested.
