There will be no charges or citations against an Ark City woman who drove into the lobby of U.S. Cellular Tuesday afternoon, according to Ark City Public Information Officer Andrew Lawson Wednesday.

Lawson said the driver was 70-year-old Mary Bartlett of Ark City. One store employee sustained minor injuries to her arm. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the accident, which happened just after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, has not been released. An officer at the scene did say the cause was accidental.

A board was placed over the damaged area of the storefront and the store, located at 2401 N. Summit, was open for business Wednesday.

Bruton’s towing service removed the vehicle form the store.
