Logan was born December 19, 2008, in Ponca City to Larry “Joby” Blakey and Jana (Voorhis) Blakey. From pre-school to 4th grade his mother home-schooled him. He was active in Ponca City Junior Baseball, AWANAS program at church and Cub Scouts. He attended Northeast Baptist Church and Providence Baptist Church both in Ponca City, and, most recently First Assembly of God Church in Arkansas City where he was baptized on February 3.

During his life, Logan battled several health issues and had undergone numerous surgeries since he was four months old. Logan had dealt with hearing loss since birth along with giant congenital nevus. Later on, he developed intra cranial hypertension which, in turn, cause him to lose part of his vision. Logan continued to battle ongoing headaches after a shunt was placed and no one in the medical profession knew what was going on after many tests and MRI exams. One of his last MRI exams revealed that Logan had developed neurocutaneous melanosis, a very rare from of cancer, that linked back to the giant congenital nevus. This news was shared with his family on January 28, along with the heartbreaking news that Logan would only be with them a short while. As his health decline over the last two-and-half weeks Logan became bedridden, then he answered the call to “Come Home” to Jesus.

Those left to mourn his passing and celebrate his memory include parents Joby Blakey of Ponca City and Jana Blakey of Newkirk; brothers Dakota and wife Tassie Blakey of Ponca City, Landon Blakey, sister Josie Blakey all of the home; grandparents Joe and Janit Blakey of Ponca City, and Roger and Janie Voorhis of Newkirk.
