The Cowley County Sheriff’s Dept. and Kansas Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant Thursday in Winfield. It was part of a continuing investigation, according to Sheriff Dave Falletti.
He would not elaborate on details of the case because the investigation is ongoing.
A crime scene unit and multiple law enforcement vehicles could be seen at a trailer park south of 19th in Winfield. Calls were made to NewsCow when passers by saw crime scene tape and a mobile crime lab.
The property is not far from the Broadway Sports Complex. Falletti did not say when additional information might be provided.
