WHS: Winfield Prom Walk-In To Be Moved Indoors Saturday Night

Winfield High School announced Thursday morning prom walk-in will take place inside WHS Auditorium rather than outside.

Chances of inclement weather was cited as the reason for the change. Rain is expected with highs barley rising above 50 degrees.

Prom walk-in will begin at 7 p.m. Students will not be allowed to enter after 9 p.m.

Juniors and seniors will enter WHS through the tower doors. Tickets and guest passes will be checked at this time. Tickets can be purchased at lunch or in the office until Friday. Tickets cost $10 per person and will not be sold at the door. Upon entering students will make their way to the choir hallway to await their turn at being announced. Once announced, students will exit backstage to the commons area, where Jennifer Aldridge will be setup to take professional pictures.

Packages must be purchased prior to prom. Pictures can be purchased using the following link: https://squareup.com/store/prom-2019-photos/. Juniors and seniors also received an email from Holly McWilliams where they can print a paper form and bring it to her by Friday.

Prom is Saturday from 7-11 p.m. Parents and community can view the dance area from 5-6 p.m. Students will be breathalyzed before entering prom and prior to leaving prom. Once students leave they will not be allowed re-entry.
