Tammy Friesen

Tammy Friesen, of Wellington, Kansas, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Sumner Regional Medical Center at the age of 47.

Tammy was born the daughter of Ray and Becky (Crossno) Vizner on Friday, December 3, 1971 in Belleville, Kansas.
On August 17, 1996, Tammy and George Friesen were united in marriage in Wichita, Kansas. Together they celebrated over 22 years of marriage.
She was a Para Professional at Lincoln Elementary where she loved and specialized in working with special needs children. Tammy was very gifted at this and enjoyed lifting their spirits and confidence. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Survivors include her husband, George Friesen of Wellington, Kansas; sons: Joseph Friesen, Jacob Friesen and Issac Friesen of Wellington, Kansas; mother, Becky Vizner of Mulvane, Kansas; grandmother, Mae Crossno of Mulvane, Kansas; brother, Don Vizner of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Brenda Shook (Michael) of Belle Plaine, Kansas; brother, John Vizner (Christa) of Jefferson City, Missouri; brother Joseph Vizner (Barbie) of Lincoln, Nebraska; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father and her aunt Karen Sharshel.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2019 with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services for Tammy will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Wellington Freewill Baptist Church, 802 East 16th Street, Wellington, Kansas. Pastor Wendell Skinner of Church Ignited will officiate.
A memorial fund has been established in her loving memory with Autism Speaks. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
