Britton Lee Pounds, age 60, a South Haven, KS resident for the past 18 years, passed away May 4, 2019, at his home. He was a former Strickland Road Service dispatcher.
Britton was born on November 23, 1958 in Brush, CO to John Pounds and Dona (Charmichael) Pounds. He served in the United States Navy from 1976 – 1981.
He married Eleanor Ann Yanez on May 12, 1989 in Las Vegas, NV.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Pounds and two sons, Jake Allan Pounds and Andrew Lee Pounds.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Ann Pounds of South Haven, KS; two sons, Shawn Michael Pounds and his fiancée, Paxten Irvin of South Haven, KS and Zach Benjamin Price Pounds and his girlfriend, Tishalee Kincaid of Arkansas City, KS; mother, Dona Pounds; four sisters, Karen (Lynn) Dillard, Kathy (Jerry) Evans, Patricia (Joe) Gordon, and Brenda (Bobby) Cook; and two grandchildren, Tatiana Venegas and Tayslee Pounds; mother-in-law, Martha Yanez of South Haven, KS; two brothers-in-law, Lupe Yanez and Arturo Yanez and his wife Denyse; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at the West Kansas Avenue Church of God in Arkansas City, KS on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 5:00 P.M.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
A Memorial has been established with the Bryce Day Memorial Foundation in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
